Muscat – Oman Customs intercepts a significant attempt to smuggle narcotics into the Sultanate. Acting on intelligence, customs officials identified 5.4 kg of marijuana concealed within food containers inside a postal package originating from Thailand.

Following the discovery, the department coordinated closely with the Directorate General for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control to track the shipment. This joint operation led to the immediate arrest of the individual responsible for the illicit package.
