Barka – South Batinah Governor’s Office will launch the third edition of its flagship summer programme ‘Experience My Summer in South Batinah’ on June 21, offering a wide range of educational, cultural, sports and recreational activities aimed at empowering young people and making productive use of the school holiday.

Running until July 2, the programme is part of the governorate’s efforts to invest in youth development by equipping participants with practical skills, fostering creativity and encouraging community engagement through interactive experiences.

The programme will feature specialised workshops, training sessions and hands-on activities designed to enhance leadership, teamwork and innovation while helping participants discover and develop their talents. Organisers say the programme has been structured to provide an enriching environment that combines learning with entertainment and personal growth.

In addition to skill-building opportunities, the programme seeks to strengthen volunteerism and civic responsibility among young people, encouraging them to play an active role in serving their communities and contributing to Oman’s sustainable development goals.

It also highlights the governorate’s commitment to creating high-quality programmes that cater to the aspirations of the youth and support their academic, social and professional development. By bringing together government entities and community partners, the programme aims to deliver a diverse schedule of activities that appeals to participants with different interests and abilities.

Officials expect strong participation from students and young people from across South Batinah’s wilayats, with the third edition building on the success of previous years. The programme will provide participants valuable experiences, broaden their horizons and inspire them to pursue innovation, lifelong learning and active citizenship.
