Omani entrepreneur builds franchise network across 5 countries

6 Jun 2026 Omani entrepreneur builds franchise network across 5 countries By MOHAMMED TAHA

Muscat – A homegrown Omani food business that began as a single outlet in Seeb has evolved into an international franchise success story. In just a few years, Seven Fries has expanded its presence across five countries, currently setting its sights on further global growth.

Founded by entrepreneur Issa Saleh Al Aghbari in 2021, Seven Fries has established operations and franchise partnerships in India (three outlets), Saudi Arabia (one), the UAE (one), Iraq (two) and Pakistan (two), reflecting the increasing competitiveness of Omani brands in regional and international markets. It has eight outlets in Oman.

The company’s latest milestone came with the opening of two new branches in New Delhi, strengthening its foothold in India and reinforcing its position as one of Oman’s fastest-growing food franchises.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Al Aghbari said the company’s journey demonstrates how Omani entrepreneurs can transform local ideas into internationally recognised brands through innovation, determination and a clear vision.

“Our ambition was never limited to the local market,” he said. “From the beginning, we wanted to build a brand capable of competing internationally while proudly representing Oman. Today, seeing Seven Fries operating in five countries is a source of pride and proof that Omani businesses can succeed on the global stage.”

Launched in Seeb with a concept centred on premium fries and innovative flavours, Seven Fries quickly gained popularity among customers, paving the way for rapid expansion through a franchise model. The company’s growth has been driven by a commitment to quality, consistency and customer satisfaction across all locations.

Al Aghbari said maintaining uniform standards throughout the network has been essential to the brand’s success.

“We focused on creating a distinctive customer experience and ensuring that every branch delivers the same quality and service. This commitment helped us earn the confidence of customers, investors and franchise partners alike,” he said.

He noted that participation in regional and international franchise exhibitions played a crucial role in opening doors to strategic partnerships and investment opportunities, enabling the company to enter new markets and expand its customer base.

According to Al Aghbari, support from Oman’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including initiatives aimed at helping small and medium enterprises expand abroad, contributed significantly to the company’s growth.

Al Aghbari believes Omani brands have considerable potential to compete internationally when they focus on innovation, quality and strong customer engagement.

“Omani entrepreneurs possess creativity, talent and determination. With the right planning and execution, there is no reason why local brands cannot become regional and global success stories.”

Offering advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, Al Aghbari urged young Omanis to pursue their ambitions with confidence and perseverance.

“Every successful company begins with an idea,” he said. “Young people should believe in themselves, work hard and never be discouraged by challenges. Obstacles are part of every entrepreneurial journey, but persistence and dedication are what ultimately lead to success.”

He added, “Start with what you have, continue learning and remain committed to your vision. Success does not happen overnight, but with patience and determination, a local project can grow into an international brand.”
