Muscat – Oman Customs officials at Muscat International Airport intercepted a significant attempt to smuggle narcotics into the Sultanate. During a routine inspection of passenger baggage, authorities discovered 14 packages of marijuana concealed within the personal luggage of a traveller arriving from Thailand. The total weight of the seized illicit substance was recorded at 5.426 kg.

The suspect, a Thai national, has been apprehended, and the confiscated contraband has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal processing and investigation.
