Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a written message from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding enhancement of cooperation and investment relations between the two countries across various sectors. The message was received by H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, during a meeting on Tuesday with Roman Sklyar, Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan.

The two sides reviewed areas of cooperation and partnership and explored ways to develop these across economic, investment and commercial sectors. Both sides affirmed the importance of diversifying partnership and opening new horizons for mutual benefit.

The meeting was attended by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority; Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry; and Yarub bin Abdullah al Yarubi, Secretary-General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.

The Kazakh side included Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna, Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund, and Haidarbek Tumatov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Oman.
