Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced it will issue white commemorative vehicle number plates for Dhofar Khareef 2026, allowing motorists to obtain special plates carrying the seasonal identity as part of efforts to promote the annual tourism season in Dhofar.

The commemorative plates will feature the Khareef Dhofar 2026 logo and will be available for vehicle owners wishing to mark the popular monsoon season, which attracts large numbers of visitors from across Oman and the Gulf states every year.

Applications can be submitted through ROP service centres, the official ROP website and ROP mobile application. The plates will be valid from June 1 till December 31, 2026 and remain subject to existing vehicle registration and insurance regulations.

The initiative is part of preparations linked to the khareef season, one of Oman’s busiest tourism periods known for its cooler climate and green landscapes during the summer months.
