Muscat – Under the patronage of Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Ministry of Social Development inaugurated a band called ‘Melodies of Hope’ at the Royal Guard of Oman Command Theatre on Monday.

The band aims to empower people of determination by providing a platform to develop and showcase their musical talents.

The ceremony opened with the Omani Royal Anthem, followed by a video outlining the band’s formation and training process. The presentation highlighted the members’ commitment and creative potential when supported through structured programmes.

A live performance blended Omani musical traditions with international compositions, reflecting the band’s message of inclusion and participation.

According to the ministry, the launch follows directives of Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad to support people of determination and enhance their engagement across sectors, in partnership with public and private institutions.
