USA – US President Donald Trump has intensified regional pressure by setting a strict 48 hour deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. In a public statement on Truth Social, the President warned of severe military consequences, stating that “all hell will reign down” if a diplomatic agreement is not reached immediately. Trump highlighted the urgency of the situation by reminding Tehran of previous extensions, noting that time is now running out for a peaceful resolution regarding the critical maritime corridor.

In response, the Iranian military has dismissed the American ultimatum as an unstable and desperate action. General Aliabadi cautioned that any US aggression would trigger continuous retaliatory strikes against American and regional infrastructure, suggesting that such threats would instead open the “gates of hell” for the United States. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has attributed current regional instability to the actions of the US and Israel during discussions with his Pakistani counterpart. Pakistan continues to advocate for a negotiated settlement to avoid further military escalation as the Monday deadline approaches.
