Muscat – Oman participated in a high-level consultative meeting conducted via video conference, joining foreign ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Russian Federation, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The primary objective of the session was to deliberate on the escalating regional and international developments stemming from the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the United States, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the discussions, the participants focused on the grave repercussions of the hostilities, with a particular emphasis on the dangerous implications of strikes targeting vital facilities and infrastructure.
The assembled ministers expressed their collective denunciation and strong condemnation of all such military targeting. Throughout the virtual summit, the representatives underscored the urgent need for stability and the protection of essential assets to prevent further deterioration of the security situation. The Sultanate’s involvement reflects its ongoing diplomatic commitment to regional peace and the de-escalation of tensions through multilateral dialogue and international cooperation.
