Muscat-Two Asian nationals have been arrested in  Seeb for possessing more than 30kg of crystal methamphetamine with the intention of trafficking, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.

The arrests were carried out by the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and prevent the distribution of narcotic substances in the Sultanate of Oman.

ROP said the suspects were found in possession of more than 30kg of crystal methamphetamine, also known as methamphetamine.

Legal procedures are being completed against the two suspects, the police added.

Authorities continue to step up efforts to combat the trafficking and distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances, and have urged the public to cooperate with security agencies in reporting suspicious activities.
