Salalah – HE Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met on Monday in the Wilayat of Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, with a group of Honorary Consuls of the Sultanate of Oman accredited to countries and cities around the world.

The meeting highlighted the role of honorary consuls in strengthening friendship and cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman, as well as promoting opportunities for economic and commercial partnerships and cultural and scientific exchange.

The Foreign Minister stressed the importance of continued engagement with honorary consuls and making use of their networks, relationships and expertise to advance human and civilizational communication among peoples and cultures.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also arranged an introductory programme for the honorary consuls on Dhofar Governorate, highlighting its capabilities and investment opportunities across various sectors.

The meeting was attended by Boleta Senkiene, Honorary Consul of Oman in Lithuania; Eng. Ivo Vaněk in the Czech Republic; Francesco Palau in Milan, Italy; Talal bin Salim Al Wahaibi in Istanbul, Türkiye; Pablo Caralps in Barcelona, Spain; Tommaso D’Errico in Florence, Italy; Hussein bin Saif Al Harthy in Rwanda; Erdene Dorjnamjim in Mongolia; Dr. Mohammed Chand in Botswana; and Prakash Nair in Kerala, India.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Hashel Al Muselhi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
