South Batinah – Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), working alongside the Public Prosecution, has temporarily closed a commercial establishment specialising in marble and ceramic trading.

Operations were suspended pending a final legal ruling. The action was taken because the business violated provisions of the Consumer Protection Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 66/2014 and its Executive Regulation.

The investigation began after multiple consumers filed complaints stating the establishment failed to provide agreed-upon services and caused them harm through unfulfilled contracts.

After summoning representatives and assessing the violations, the Department requested a formal closure order from the Public Prosecution, which was executed immediately.
