Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association explores cooperation

Muscat – The Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association held its first meeting in Muscat on Tuesday, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in tourism, investment, trade, healthcare and education.

The meeting discussed practical initiatives to expand investment opportunities, deepen ties between the business communities of the two countries and encourage new commercial partnerships.

Participants also reviewed ways to promote tourism and cultural exchange, strengthen cooperation between tourism institutions and private-sector stakeholders, and raise awareness of the artistic and cultural heritage of Oman and Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the Department of GCC and Regional Neighbourhood at the Foreign Ministry; H E Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman; Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, Chairman of the association; Redha Al Saleh, Vice-Chairman; and board members.
