Muscat – Omani Pakistani Friendship Association (OPFA) organised a distinguished gathering to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day, celebrating the enduring bonds of friendship, goodwill, and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The event was attended by Senior Government Officials, Officials of the Embassy of Pakistan, members of the OPFA Board, and prominent members of the Pakistani community.

This event comes to provide an important platform to celebrate the shared values, cultural heritage, and historic relationships between Oman and Pakistan, while promoting greater cooperation, understanding, and meaningful engagement at the community and institutional levels.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Founder and President of the Oman Pakistan Friendship Association, expressed his sincere appreciation to the distinguished guests and reaffirmed OPFA’s commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two brotherly countries. He also expressed his profound appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, for His Majesty’s visionary leadership and continued commitment to fostering friendship, understanding, and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

He emphasised that such occasions provide an important platform to celebrate the shared values, cultural heritage, and historic relationship between the peoples of Oman and Pakistan, while promoting greater cooperation, understanding, and meaningful engagement at the community and institutional levels.
