Muscat – The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has completed the restoration of Al Sadd Tower in the wilayat of Al Awabi, South Batinah.

Located along the main road, the circular tower was built on a rocky outcrop using stone and clay, reflecting the area’s traditional architectural style.

The work included strengthening the structure, reinforcing the wall bases and stone foundations, treating cracks and rebuilding damaged sections with stone and mortar.

The facade was also replastered, while a solar-powered lighting system was installed to highlight the landmark and support its preservation.
