Muscat – Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) reported a strong financial performance for the six months ended June 30, 2026, with net profit surging 48% year-on-year, supported by higher revenues and strong operational performance.
The company’s net profit rose to RO80.22mn in the first half of 2026, compared with RO54.19mn in the corresponding period of 2025, according to its financial report submitted to the Muscat Stock Exchange.
OMIFCO’s revenue also recorded robust growth, increasing 44% to RO191.81mn during the January-June period of 2026 from RO132.87mn in the same period last year.
‘These results underscore the company’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, sustainable growth, and disciplined execution across all aspects of its plant operations. We remain committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable value creation, while maintaining the financial discipline and strategic focus necessary to deliver attractive long-term returns to our shareholders,’ OMIFCO said.
In its financial report, the company said the second quarter of 2026 was a period of outperformance for both urea and ammonia operations. The strong performance was driven by efficient plant operations, optimum capacity utilisation, higher urea sales volumes, improved netbacks and continued optimisation of operating expenses.
OMIFCO said it also exceeded its production targets for the first half of 2026 compared with the targets set under its annual business plan.
The company noted that global ammonia and urea markets experienced significant volatility during the first half of 2026, driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, supply chain disruptions and subsequent sharp price corrections.
OMIFCO said it remains focused on maintaining sustainable operations, creating long-term value for shareholders and supporting Oman’s national development objectives.
