Tehran – United States military has completed a two-hour wave of retaliatory airstrikes targeting dozens of locations across Iran, following an earlier Iranian ballistic missile attack directed at American forces in the Middle East.
According to the US Central Command, the operations commenced at eight o’clock in the evening Eastern Time and concluded at ten o’clock, striking key infrastructure belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including military command centres, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities.
Washington described the extensive bombardment as a powerful and direct response to Tehran’s attempted surprise attack. Meanwhile, the Jordanian armed forces confirmed that their air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed five incoming missiles targeting the kingdom, with no casualties reported.
