Dr Ahmed bin Saif Al Amri, Director General of Agriculture and Water Resources in Buraimi, said the opportunities were developed in cooperation with the Directorate General of Housing and Urban Planning to strengthen the contribution of agriculture and livestock to the national economy and support the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

The investment portfolio includes projects for cultivating date palms, potatoes and garlic, establishing a plant tissue culture laboratory, and setting up centres for collecting, sorting and packing agricultural produce. It also includes livestock projects covering camel, cattle and sheep fattening, fodder production and specialised veterinary clinics.
