Muscat – Tax Authority has announced that starting August 1, 2026, accessing its electronic portal will require logging in exclusively through the THEQA application using a digital identity.

To ensure uninterrupted service, users must download the app, ensure their phone supports NFC, register their Civil ID details, and activate their digital identity.

Once activated, users can log in by accessing the e-portal, selecting login via digital identity, and authenticating either by scanning a QR code or entering their Civil Number and approving the notification. This update enhances security and streamlines digital interactions for all citizens and residents.
