25 Jul 2026 Oman Visa and Medical Examination Centre opens in Manila By OUR CORRESPONDENT

Manila, Philippines – The Oman Visa and Medical Examination Centre was inaugurated in the Philippine capital Manila on Thursday under the patronage of H E Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and H E Dr Mahad bin Saeed bin Ali Baowain, Minister of Labour.

The two ministers toured the centre’s facilities, where they reviewed its equipment, operational procedures and the various stages of processing applications.

They were also briefed on the procedures for issuing work visas, conducting medical examinations, and the measures in place to protect personal data and official documents.

The centre is the first fully integrated facility of its kind dedicated to serving Filipino nationals applying for work visas to Oman.

It enables applicants to complete both their visa procedures and the required medical examinations at a single location, helping to reduce processing times, simplify procedures and eliminate the need to visit multiple agencies.

Opening of the centre is part of Oman’s efforts to further develop its labour recruitment system and enhance the efficiency and reliability of pre-departure procedures, while safeguarding the interests of both workers and employers.

The inauguration was attended by senior officials and representatives of relevant authorities from both countries.
