Muscat – The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has invited business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to participate in the Omani–Tanzanian Business Forum, which will be held on July 26, at the Diplomatic Club in Muscat.

The forum aims to strengthen economic ties between Oman and Tanzania by creating new opportunities for cooperation and investment, with a particular focus on the tourism and hospitality sector. It is being organised in collaboration with the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania, Air Tanzania and the Tanzania Tourist Board.

According to the organisers, the event will provide Omani companies with an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into Tanzania’s tourism industry, explore successful business models and identify potential investment and partnership opportunities. The forum will also discuss ways to integrate tourism programmes and develop joint travel packages that promote both countries as complementary destinations.

The targeted sectors include safari and wildlife tourism, adventure tourism and mountain climbing, and beach and eco-tourism. These segments are considered among Tanzania’s strongest tourism offerings and present opportunities for collaboration with Oman’s growing tourism industry.

The forum is expected to bring together representatives from government institutions, tourism authorities, airlines, travel companies and private sector organisations from both countries. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange expertise, establish business contacts and discuss practical mechanisms for enhancing bilateral cooperation.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to expand commercial relations between Oman and Tanzania, building on the longstanding historical and cultural links shared by the two nations. It also aligns with broader efforts to diversify economic partnerships and encourage private sector engagement in high-potential sectors.

Businesses interested in attending the forum can register through the OCCI’s website. The Chamber said the event offers a valuable platform for companies seeking to expand into East African markets and explore new avenues for investment, tourism development and sustainable business growth through strategic partnerships between Oman and Tanzania.
