Suwaiq – North Batinah Municipality conducted a targeted inspection campaign on shops selling grains, nuts, dates, and dry food products in the Wilayat of Suwaiq.

This initiative was part of the municipality’s ongoing commitment to enhancing health oversight and ensuring the safety of food items available to consumers.

The inspection resulted in the destruction of 50 kg of nuts, dates, and grains that were found to be unfit for human consumption due to their unknown origin. Inspectors also detected the presence of insects in several food products. Following these findings, the municipality has initiated the necessary legal proceedings in accordance with established health regulations and standards.
