Buraimi – Environment Authority in Dhahirah Governorate has successfully documented a variety of rare and endangered biological species within the Dhahirah and Buraimi Natural Oasis Reserve.

Monitoring operations conducted by the Yanqul Unit have provided significant insights into the region’s biodiversity. Among the notable findings, officials recorded the presence of an Arabian tahr in a mountainous area of the reserve.

Furthermore, the team documented a lappet-faced vulture chick, an endangered bird of prey, returning to its nest. The survey also captured sightings of the Afghan fox, a rare mammal adapted to arid environments, and the presence of the Sandgrouse was confirmed through wildlife camera footage.

These discoveries are the result of ongoing conservation efforts, including consistent field patrols, the strategic deployment of wildlife cameras, and the systematic tracking of natural habitats.
