Muscat – Oman has formally summoned the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Oman, Mousa Farhang, to deliver a formal letter of protest. This diplomatic action follows recent drone strikes that targeted locations within Oman’s Musandam and Al Wusta governorates. The protest was delivered by H E Khalid bin Hashel al Musalhi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the Omani official expressed the Sultanate’s strong dissatisfaction regarding these irresponsible actions. The Ministry emphasised the necessity of upholding the principles of state sovereignty and good neighbourliness. Furthermore, the Sultanate called for strict adherence to non-interference in internal affairs, urging respect for the established norms and moral values that historically connect the two neighbouring nations and their people.
