Salalah – Royal Oman Police (ROP), led by the Coast Guard Command in the Dhofar Governorate, has successfully thwarted a major attempt to smuggle a large quantity of the drug khat.

Acting on intelligence, the Coast Guard collaborated with various police units to intercept the smuggling operation along the coast of the Dhofar Governorate. The operation underscores the authorities’ continuous and diligent efforts to safeguard the nation’s maritime borders and prevent the entry of illicit substances.
