Muscat – H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs visited the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) on Monday, where he was briefed on the bank’s role in fostering innovation across the banking sector and advancing financial transformation in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

During the visit, Sayyid Theyazin received an overview of the CBO’s key initiatives aimed at strengthening the banking sector, promoting financial innovation, and accelerating the adoption of advanced financial technologies to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the Sultanate’s financial system.

He also met with young Omani professionals from various departments and divisions of the Central Bank, commending their contributions to the development of the country’s banking and financial sector.

Emphasising the pivotal role of youth in Oman’s future, Sayyid Theyazin stressed the importance of investing in young national talent by equipping them with the skills, opportunities and support needed to innovate and lead. He reaffirmed that empowering Omani youth remains a national priority and a key pillar in achieving the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
