Muscat – Environment Authority (EA), in collaboration with relevant authorities, has successfully apprehended an individual at Muscat International Airport. The perpetrator was caught attempting to smuggle Omani spiny-tailed lizards, which are classified as an endangered species.

These protected animals were being transported illegally. The Environment Authority has taken the necessary legal actions against the individual in accordance with established regulations. The Authority continues to urge the public to comply with wildlife protection laws to prevent the exploitation of endangered species and avoid legal consequences.
