Muscat – Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has officially implemented a new initiative to enhance sustainable infrastructure within the hospitality sector. Under the Tajawob platform, the Ministry has mandated the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in the parking facilities of classified hotel establishments.
This directive applies to hotels categorised as three, four, or five stars, aiming to support broader national sustainability goals and modernise services for guests who utilise electric transport. By integrating these charging facilities, the Ministry seeks to elevate the visitor experience and align the tourism sector with contemporary global trends in eco-friendly travel. This policy, which officially commenced on January 20, reflects the ongoing commitment of the Ministry to improve service quality and foster environmental stewardship across the Sultanate’s tourism landscape.
