Muscat – Ministry of Labour (MoL) has continued its dedicated efforts to strengthen the monitoring of recruitment offices for the non-Omani workforce, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory bylaws and the provisions of the Labour Law.

During the first quarter of 2026, the Recruitment Office Follow-up Department executed a comprehensive series of regulatory missions. These operations included 58 inspection visits conducted to verify compliance with established standards and laws. Additionally, the department addressed 29 reports and settlements regarding non-compliance with regulatory clauses, which subsequently led to 2 legal actions being taken due to failures in following the Labour Law and its executive regulations.

The primary objectives of these activities involve raising the level of regulatory compliance among recruitment offices and reducing irregular practices related to recruitment contracts and operational mechanisms. Furthermore, the ministry aims to enhance the quality of services provided to ensure they meet approved standards while following up on incoming reports to maintain a disciplined working environment. The results of these first-quarter efforts show a noticeable improvement in how offices commit to contractual and operational terms.
