Muscat – Ministry of Education has officially announced the transition to distance learning for all public and private schools, universities, and colleges in several regions across the Sultanate. This decision will take effect tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1, in response to an incoming low pressure system expected to impact the nation’s weather conditions.

The suspension of in-person classes applies specifically to the governorates of Dakhiliyah, North Sharqiyah, South Sharqiyah, and Al Wusta. Additionally, the remote learning mandate extends to the wilayats of Amerat and Quriyat within the Muscat Governorate. Educational institutions are instructed to activate their electronic learning platforms to ensure the continuity of the academic curriculum during this period.

Following the temporary shift, regular face-to-face instruction is scheduled to resume on Thursday. This precautionary measure reflects the Ministry’s commitment to the safety of students and staff during periods of unstable weather. Authorities continue to monitor the meteorological situation closely to provide further updates if necessary.
