Muscat – The Foreign Ministry has announced the official implementation of a mutual visa waiver agreement between Oman and Belarus, effective from March 17, marking a new step in strengthening bilateral relations and facilitating travel between the two countries.

Under the agreement, Omani citizens will be able to travel to Belarus without obtaining a prior visa, easing travel procedures and encouraging tourism, cultural exchange and people-to-people connectivity.

According to the ministry, travellers must ensure that their passports remain valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Belarus. The visa exemption allows a stay of up to 30 days per visit, with the total period of stay not exceeding 90 days within a single calendar year.

The ministry clarified that citizens wishing to remain in Belarus for more than 30 days during a single visit must obtain the appropriate visa in accordance with the country’s applicable laws and regulations.

Authorities also emphasised that the visa waiver applies only to non-remunerative travel. Visitors are not permitted to engage in employment, commercial activities, or any form of paid work during their stay.

Travellers are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive health insurance covering the entire duration of their visit and to comply with all local laws and regulations while in Belarus.
