Muscat – Oman condemns recent drone attack that targeted the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In an official statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Oman voiced its deep concern over the hostile operation, which involved unmanned aerial vehicles breaching regional airspace to strike civilian infrastructure.

The Foreign Ministry underscored the Sultanate’s firm and unwavering solidarity with the United Arab Emirates. It explicitly backed all diplomatic, security, and defensive measures being taken by the neighbouring nation to protect its territory, preserve its national security, and maintain its sovereignty.

Furthermore, the statement reiterated the absolute rejection by Oman of any hostile or escalatory actions that undermine regional peace. The ministry emphasised the vital importance of respecting international law, adhering to the principles of good neighbourliness, and avoiding interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states. Oman concluded its declaration with a renewed call for open dialogue and peaceful resolutions to address regional conflicts and secure long-term stability.
