Muscat – The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs issued a ministerial decision to form the Omani Hajj Mission for the year headed by H E Ahmed bin Saleh al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The decision stipulated that Dr. Ahmed bin Ali al Kaabi would be Deputy Head of the Mission for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Dr. Zaher bin Abdullah al Hosani would be Deputy Head of the Mission for Hajj and Hajj Campaign Affairs.
The decision was based on Royal Decree No. 6/99 defining the competencies of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and approving its organisational structure, the Civil Service Law issued by Royal Decree No. 120/2004 and its amendments, the Executive Regulations of the Civil Service Law issued by Civil Service Council Decision No. 9/2010 and its amendments, and Ministerial Resolution No. 236/2004 regarding the system for forming the Omani Hajj Mission and defining its competencies.
It is noteworthy that the Omani Hajj Mission performs a number of tasks and services, including providing assistance to pilgrims to the Holy House of God and guiding them on the procedures for performing the rituals.
