Muscat – The Environment Authority of Oman announced the arrest of four Omani citizens in Dhofar Governorate for hunting an Arabian gazelle.

The arrests were carried out by wildlife rangers from the Environment Authority in coordination with the Royal Oman Police. The individuals have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.

The Environment Authority emphasised the importance of protecting the country’s natural heritage and warned that harming wildlife is punishable under the law. Citizens are urged to respect and preserve Oman’s environmental elements to avoid legal accountability.
