Muscat – The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and military and security agencies, launched a new recruitment system, Tazamun, on Wednesday. The initiative aims to enhance efficiency in employment processes and support Oman’s national workforce goals.

The launch event, held under the patronage of H E Dr Mahad bin Saeed Baowain, Minister of Labour, was attended by Dr Mohammed Nasser al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, and officials from military and security agencies.

Speaking at the event, H E Khalid bin Salem al Ghamari, Undersecretary for Labour, emphasised the importance of integrating modern technology into recruitment systems. “This initiative is part of a broader national effort, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and other security agencies, to streamline and optimise employment processes as a key national priority,” he said.

The Tazamun system was presented during the ceremony, highlighting its role in organising and facilitating recruitment to address national needs. Yahya bin Mohammed al Battashi, Director of the Department of Other Units Affairs at the Ministry of Labour, explained its functions. “The system’s adoption of advanced technologies aims to ensure consistency, improve performance, and meet the objectives of the Ministry of Defence and related agencies,” he said.
