Oman’s Labour ministry announces 1,179 government jobs

1 Dec 2024 Oman’s Labour ministry announces 1,179 government jobs

Muscat – The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has announced the availability of 1,179 job openings across various government units, offering opportunities to candidates with different educational qualifications.

The majority of these vacancies are designated for bachelor’s degree holders, with additional positions available for individuals holding post-general education diplomas or general education diplomas and below. The application window is open for two weeks from the announcement date.

Highlighting its efforts in job creation, the ministry reported that it facilitated the employment of 65,310 individuals in 2023 across Oman’s public and private sectors. These roles spanned key industries, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to addressing employment needs in the sultanate.

To enhance its services, MoL introduced the Tawteen Platform and the Employment Applications System earlier this year. Launched in September, these digital tools aim to streamline job matching and improve market responsiveness. The ministry stated that these systems also support the Employment Governance Committee in identifying market demands and increasing job opportunities across Oman.

The initiative reflects the Ministry of Labour’s continued focus on fostering a dynamic labour market and supporting economic growth.
