Muscat – Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MCSY) and Oman Football Association unveiled a campaign – ‘Kulluna Maak’ or ‘We are all with you’ – on Thursday to rally support for the national football team as it enters the decisive round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mohammed al Amri, General Manager of Sports Activities at the ministry and Campaign Manager, informed that the campaign consists of four key components – Logistical Initiative, Partnership and Marketing Initiative, Fans Supportive Initiative, and Media Initiative. These efforts aim to foster collective support from both individuals and organisations for the national team in the qualifiers.
According to Amri, the Logistical Initiative will involve upgrades to facilities at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Bausher, including enhancing services for fans, such as improved prayer spaces, additional parking and better access routes. It will also enhance accessibility to gates and stands within the complex and facilitate the availability of food and drinks.
The Media Initiative will feature collaborations with government and private entities, including Oman TV, radio stations, social media platforms and influencers to promote the campaign and the qualifiers. The campaign will also use advertising screens in public spaces such as streets, malls and public buses, in partnership with Mwasalat, to this end. Additionally, the campaign is collaborating with the National Team Fans Association to rally support and a special song dedicated to the national team is set to be released soon.
Amri further explained that the campaign aims to create a supportive and engaging environment for fans using various ways, including flags.
Supplementary events will be organised around the upcoming matches to elevate the fan experience and foster a festive atmosphere for families and supporters, including setting up external screens, deploying volunteers to assist with organisation, and providing buses to transport fans from different regions.
Amri highlighted the fact that the campaign is forming valuable partnerships with government and private institutions, including the Ministry of Information, Royal Oman Police, Muscat Municipality and Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development.
Several private sector companies have also agreed to sponsor and support the campaign. These combined efforts are aimed at supporting the national team, encouraging fan attendance and creating a positive atmosphere during the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
