Muscat – The Environment Authority (EA) has issued a warning about the ban on trading, transporting, and storing firewood and charcoal.

In a statement issued by EA said, ‘Based on Resolution No. 2024/70, which amends certain provisions of the regulations governing the logging and charcoal process, shops and vendors are prohibited from selling, transporting, or storing firewood or charcoal without obtaining a permit from the authority.’

Anyone who violates this regulation will be punished with a fine of up to RO500, it added.
