Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the demise of President Dr Ebrahim Raisi and the delegation that accompanied him in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province of Iran.

In the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Supreme Leader and the families of the deceased, praying to the Almighty Allah to rest their souls in peace in paradise, grant their families fortitude and protect Khamenei and the people of Iran against all harm.
