Muscat – The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has taken swift action against commercial establishments for selling children’s sweets that resemble cigarette packs and contain inappropriate drawings.
In a statemetn issued by CPA said, ‘The products were immediately seized and removed from store shelves, investigated, and legal measures were taken.’
Additionally, the supplier was instructed to cease distribution and withdraw the products from the market.
This move aligns with Article 21 of the Consumer Protection Law, which stipulates, ‘The provider is obligated to respect religious values, customs, and traditions when providing the consumer with any goods, or receiving any service.’
