Muscat – For the eighth consecutive year, an anonymous philanthropist has donated for the release of all indebted prisoners in Dhahirah who met the eligibility criteria of  the Fak Kurbah initiative run by Omani Lawyers’ Association. These individuals were imprisoned in financial, civil, commercial or labour litigations.  

In 2023, the same donor helped set free 38 prisoners in the governorate and 61 in 2022.

In its last ten editions, Fak Kurbah facilitated the release of over 5,890 imprisoned individuals from different  governorates.

This year, it aims to address around 1,500 cases, highlighting its commitment to promoting justice and aiding those in need with the help of the  Omani community.
