Muscat – Represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), the sultanate is set to make a mark at the third edition of LEAP Tech Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. 

An international exhibition, LEAP is committed to addressing global challenges by fostering large-scale investments in groundbreaking technologies poised to redefine lifestyles and future.

Highlighting the essence of Oman’s participation, H E Dr Ali bin Amer al Shidhani, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology in MTCIT, outlined the sultanate’s objectives at the conference. “Our primary goal is to showcase the innovative prowess of emerging Omani technology companies, alongside their services and digital offerings. We aim to carve out new pathways in international markets for these entities, establishing connections with specialised investors and drawing digital investments back to Oman,” he stated.

The four-day conference is anticipated to draw a diverse global audience, including industry-leading companies, renowned experts and insightful investors. H E Shidhani emphasised Oman’s intention to introduce attendees to the varied facets and investment potentials in its technology sector.

Oman’s commitment to the event is further demonstrated by its dedicated pavilion, which consolidates the efforts of 15 government agencies and institutions. The pavilion will host approximately 62 Omani tech firms specialising in the communications and information technology sector. “This significant representation reflects Oman’s dedication to fostering innovation, technological advancement and international collaboration in the dynamic digital landscape,” H E Shidhani added.
