Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Monday arrested four people for smuggling large quantities of khat into Oman.

In a statement, ROP said, ‘Coast Guard Police in Dhofar arrested four people of Arab nationality with more than 30 boxes of khat. The accused were attempting to smuggle large quantities of khat into the country.’

‘Legal procedures have been taken against them,’ it stated.
