Muscat – Muscat CT defeated Zawawi Powertech by nine wickets in the Premier Division League 2023-24 powered by Muscat Pharmacy LLC on Friday.

Batting first, Zawawi Powetech were all out for 164 with Akash Mohite taking five wickets and Afriedh KT picking three. Kalaiarasan N top-scored with 46 for Zawawi and had fine support from Mohamed Raheem who made 31.

In response, Aiyappa CR and Shoaib Khan scored fifties as Muscat CT reached the target with nine wickets in hand.

In another Premier Division match, VLCC defeated IAS Engineering by six wickets on Saturday.

VLCC bundles out IAS Engineering for 116 runs as Sachindu Colombage and Sohail Khan took four wickets each. Muzahir Raza picked the other two.

Kasun Liyanage (45) was the top-scorer for IAS Engineering. In response, Sahil Dias (45*) and Sultan Ahmed(32) guided VLCC to a six-wicket victory.

IAS 116/10 in 34 overs (Kasun Liyanage 45(63); Sohail Khan 4/19, Sachindu Colombage 4/29) lost to VLCC 118/4 in 25.2 overs (Sahil Dias 45(71); Muhd Faraz Arshad 2/13) by 6 wickets.
