Muscat – Karwa Motors has unveiled new Karwa School Buses set to be available in the local market by the beginning of 2024.

Designed with advanced safety features, these buses aim to redefine student transportation standards in Oman.

Dr Ibrahim bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Karwa Motors, said the new buses are a testament to the company’s dedication to addressing the needs of Oman’s school transportation sector.

He highlighted the fact that the bus design was finalised after thorough analysis of existing challenges, particularly concerning public safety.

“The Karwa School Bus is fitted with state-of-the-art safety equipment aligned with the Ministry of Education’s ‘Safety Journey’ system,” Balushi said, and emphasised the company’s unwavering commitment to student safety and educational institution requirements.

The bus’s standout features include capacity to seat 23, compatibility to Gulf Cooperation Council standards, internal and external surveillance cameras, strategically arranged passenger seats, an emergency exit, clear visibility for the driver and passengers, an automatic fire-extinguishing system, high-performance air conditioning, safety locks, and innovative side doors equipped with sensors.

Additionally, the buses come with engine sensors, GPS-based location tracking and a system to monitor driver performance.
