Oman Air, SalamAir ink MoU to improve cooperation

Muscat – In a significant move to enhance collaboration in Oman’s aviation sector, Oman Air and SalamAir signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday.

The agreement aims to improve cooperation and integration between the two airlines, specifically focusing on developing and implementing a joint commercial strategy for air transport in Oman.

The MoU, signed by Capt Nasser al Salmi, Acting CEO of Oman Air, and Capt Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, will guide the two airlines’ networks to improve operational efficiency and elevate passenger services. The agreement’s detailed provisions include collaboration in destination planning, flight scheduling, inventory and fleet management, and revenue and sales management.

H E Said bin Hamood al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of Board of Directors of Oman Air, said the MoU will enhance the complementary role of the two airlines and substantially boost passenger traffic at Muscat airport.
