Charity exhibition to support 400 children with disabilities

30 May 2023 By

Muscat – The Association for Children with Disabilities – a prominent organisation dedicated to the cause of children with different types of disabilities – is organising a charity event in Fraser Suites Muscat from June 1 to 3.

The ninth edition of the Unity Charity Exhibition, being held to support children with disabilities, will be inaugurated by H E Dr Mona al Jardani, Undersecretary of the Vocational Training at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

Khadija bint Nasser al Saati, chairperson of the board of directors of the Association for Children with Disabilities, said, “The three-day exhibition, open daily from 10am to 10pm, aims to raise funds to support children with disabilities. A total of 200 entrepreneurs will participate in the exhibition.”

The exhibition will feature multiple pavilions offering a diverse range of products, including perfumes, incense, men’s and women’s clothing, and accessories.

Proceeds from the exhibition, including space rental fees for SMEs and a RO1 entry fee for visitors, will be directed to the association.
The participating SMEs will, however, retain their sales earnings, Khadija informed.

The association currently serves around 400 children, aged five to 14, across nine centres located in the wilayats of Seeb, Barka, Musannah, Azaiba, Quriyat, Jalan Bani Bu Hasan, Dhank, Yanqul, and Saham.

The association has been actively promoting – among various segments of society, private sector entities, and institutions – human values and a culture of ‘donating and providing voluntary support to children’.

“We invite everyone to participate in the exhibition and support this cause,” Khadija urged.
