Muscat – The Office of the State Council held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the importance of controls related to draft laws.

The office has confirmed the importance of not disclosing or publishing information about the draft laws referred by the government under study.

Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, discussed controls related to proposals for draft laws submitted by the Oman Council, and the system of representation system in regional and international forums.

The office pointed out the  necessity of observing the confidentiality of information and not disclosing, declaring or publishing information about draft laws referred by the government that are still under study in accordance with the directives and legal systems in force in this regard.

The meeting also discussed the rules and procedures governing joint sessions between the State and Shura Councils.
