Muscat – Musandam governorate is currently seeing implementation of several development projects.

An official at Musandam Municipality has stated that the civic body is working on developing projects that serve the economic, tourism and social sectors of the governorate. Chief among these is an extensive development plan for Al Halla Park in the wilayat of Khasab.

Spread on an area of 16,673sqm, the park will include entertainment facilities, such as a children’s play area, a gym and green spaces, besides toilets and a prayer hall for men and women.

According to the Musandam Municipality official, the project aims to stimulate domestic tourism, and create recreational outlets for families and job opportunities for the youth.

“Some of the other development projects underway include a Kumzar village, construction of a floating pier in Khor Najd, the Khorsham mountain pass project, and a waterfront project in the wilayat of Dibba,” he added. 

Meanwhile, Musandam Carnival, which was held at Bassah Beach in Khasab, concluded on Friday witnessing a significant turnout of over 13,000 visitors.

The carnival included entertainment activities for all family members – games, performances and eateries.
