Muscat – Dakhliyah Municipality carried out an inspection campaign to curb street vending activities in the wilayat of Samail on Thursday.

A statement issued by the municipality said, ‘With an aim to reduce the negative phenomenon of random sales on the roads and streets of the wilayat of Samail, the municipality in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, carried out an inspection campaign in Samail and issued several health violation notices against expatriate street vendors.’

These measures come after receiving repeated reports about the street vendors, who sell fish and vegetables on streets in unhygienic conditions.

Dakhliyah Municipality calls on everyone to abide by the regulations and laws.
